About

“I believe the road to hell is paved with adverbs, and I will shout it from the rooftops.”

Stephen King

Hello! My name is Jamie Nichols and I currently reside in Oklahoma. I am an aspiring author with three works in progress and about fifteen other ideas that want attention. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction through Southern New Hampshire University.

I hope to add novels as they are completed to this page, as well as work and such that is actually relevant to being an author when those things happen. Most of my current writing is in the form of fan fiction on archiveofourown.org under the username ParkJaebum. It is kpop.

I began my writing journey when my best friend introduced me to roleplaying, thought if I look back at my life, I enjoyed it even when I was much younger. I was able to meet some other great writers on the website and I can honestly say my honed skills I have today are a result of that. I believe my first memorable character that I created was a guardian angle meant to watch over a vampire. I only recall that my character failed.

My love for fantasy started with Tithe by Holly Black. It was the first book I had ever read about the Fae. Most of the novels I read before that were romance and the concepts in this little book blew my teenage mind. I was hooked on the world of the Fae for awhile before I found R.A. Salvatore and his fantastic novels in The Forgotten Realms. It was only natural that I then join a D&D group.

When I began writing in the fantasy genre, it was done hesitantly. At least until I realized that if I could make my ideas make sense in this world, then I could use them. They didn’t have to make sense in the genre, just in the novel. I wish this realization made it easier, but with all the world building, it just made it more work. I love it though, and I can’t forsee this world without it.
